HEMA Maps Australia's Great Desert Tracks Map Pack
HEMA Maps Australia's Great Desert Tracks - 6 Map collection plus Guide Book
For all the adventurers out there who were wishing for maps of the Simpson Desert and the other eastern desert regions, they’re here! Hema Maps have expanded their hugely popular Great Desert Tracks Series by two maps so that Australia’s outback desert regions are fully covered. The first edition of the Great Desert Tracks Maps contained four maps of the desert and outback regions of Western Australia and the western halves of South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Hema have been running around the countryside field-checking the area east of the original four plus some more travelling around within the original area – who could pass up another trip down the Canning Stock Route? As a result, they’ve gone not one but two better on the new edition and now the new six-map series covers from Eulo in Outback Queensland to the Pilbara in Western Australia and stretches from the Gibb River Road south to the Great Australian Bight. As part of this change, the original North East sheet has been renamed the North Central sheet and the South East sheet has become the South Central sheet. The two new maps are named North East and South East. Easy!
The Map Pack folder will keep the six maps neat and tidy with plenty of room for more maps and it also contains an Auslig Topographic Key and the Great Desert Tracks Companion Guide which offers background information on the Great Desert Tracks Mapping Expedition plus equipment checklists, first aid assistance, a communications guide and thumbnail texts to the Top 25 Great Desert Trips.
The maps and the Companion Guide are also available separately.
