2006 Alpine 4x4 Challenge 4WD DVD Australian 4WD Events 2006 Alpine Challenge 4x4 DVD Australia's best four wheel drivers compete against all the challenges that the rugged alpine region can throw at them in the 3rd Alpine Challenge. Unique in Australian 4x4 competition, the Alpine Challenge is set in the alpine region of Dinner Plain and Omeo. The 10 special stages are set on Cobungra Station, Victoria's largest cattle station. Stages up to 10 kilometeres long with mud, winching and steep hillclimbs are technically challenging and awesome to watch. It's a team competition so both vehicles in each team have to somehow get to the end of each stage so there are heroic recovery attempts.
